If you want to watch anime but you don’t know where to start, then you have come to the right place.
There is a simple reason why I recommend watching these anime series:
- The story is interesting and easy to follow
- The seasons are short and easily digestible
- The animation style is awesome
One Piece:
I watched this series based on a recommendation from a friend, and I still watch it. It has an interesting story about a pirate who wants to become the king of pirates.
To become one he has to obtain the One Piece which will grant him fame, wealth and power. Sounds simple but the journey is a lot harder than you can imagine.
This might not be the shortest anime but the story is truly magnificent, I recommend everyone to watch it.
Death Note:
The story is about a highschool student called Light Yagami who found a notebook capable of killing anyone whose name is written on it.
The notebook belongs to a strange creature known as shinigami. Each shinigami has a death note, and Light happens to find Ryuk’s death note notebook.
He started to write down crminal’s names in the notebook with death cause and time. The town was in chaos, the police searched everywhere for who’s responsible for this mess.
Himouto! Umaru-Chan:
The series showcases the daily life of a perfect highschool student called Umaru Doma.
Everyone thinks she’s perfect except her brother Taihei because she’s far from perfect when she’s home.
If you find this intriguing and you want to read deeply into Umaru’s character, you can read about the most relatable anime character.
Love is hard for Otaku:
The story is about a young lady called Narumi Momose who is an Otaku and fujoshi.
She left her old job because her secret as an otaku was revealed. She joined a new company where she met an old classmate named Hirotaka Nifuji.
He was also an otaku, they reconnected with each other and their love story started.
Little witch academia:
The story takes place at Luna Nova Magic Academy, a prestigious school for young trainees.
A girl named Atsuko, also called Ako, joins the academy but struggles to learn because she was not raised in a magical environment. Her inspiration was a witch named (Shayne Chariot).
Everything changed when she discovered a shining wand, a powerful magical force left by Chariot.
Ako tried to show the world that magic is still something special, but the common people see it as old-fashioned and wish it would disappear.
The secret to restoring the flow of magic lies within the forbidden Forest of Arcturus, sealed within a magical region called the Great Triskelion created by the nine ancient witches, the legendary founders of the academy.
The key to unlocking the seal lies in a series of seven magic words and the shining wand, an artifact that only reacts to the user’s true desire to spread joy and happiness.
Adorable food goddess:
The series is also known as Meng Qi Shi Shen or Cinderella Chef.
It is about a girl called Ye Jiayao, who finds herself brought back in time.
She exchanged her body with another girl, Ye Jinxuan who lived in a different era.
Nobody notices the difference and she can’t explain what happened to anybody.
After many twists, she thought that she would finally be able to lead a simple life and achieve her dream of opening the best restaurant in Huai Song.
However, she faces so many obstacles and it’s not as easy to return as she thought.
My ordinary life:
This show is also known as Nichijou.
This series is about the life of trio friends, Mio, Aioi and Mai whose stories soon intertwine with the young genius Hakase Shinonome, her robot caretaker Nano, and their talking cat Sakamoto.
We get to see their lives inside and outside school which is full of interesting and funny moments.
Wagnaria / Working!:
The story takes place in a family restaurant in Hokkaido, where Popura Taneshima works as a waitress.
She recruits Souta Takanashi to help with the restaurant. He also quickly learns he must stay on his toes.
Because once he meets the rest of his colleagues, he will quickly realize that each of them have an interesting character.
The staff includes the katana-wielding floor chief Yachiyo Todoroki. The intimidating head chef Jun Satou. The dangerously well-informed and subtly sadistic sous chef Hiroomi Souma. The adamantly lazy manager Kyouko Shirafuji. Lastly, the waitress Mahiru Inami who has a “painful” fear of men.
The events are pretty light hearted and funny.
