To begin with, the first thing that caught my eyes is the animation style. It reminds me of Nichijuo, also known as My Ordinary Life. It is a more polished version of it.
It was very confusing to watch, I finished watching the whole series and I’m still thinking about what I watched? Lol. Honestly, I didn’t know how to write this review because there is nothing to say!
After watching the first episode, I thought it was a slice of life anime. You know the one where you see the character’s daily activities and normal conversation that they have with friends or family.
But nothing about it seemed normal. Even the character’s imaginary conversations with themselves were not normal dialogues.
It is just weird but presented in the most entertaining way possible!
You don’t quite understand what is happening but you can’t stop watching it.
It is a collection of short scenes that were combined together to make an episode. Nothing really made sense. There were some long segments that were a little bit more coherent and were easy to follow.
The series is only 13 episodes long, each episode is about 24 to 28 minutes. It’s good to watch when you want to switch your brain off and just enjoy the beautiful animation.
It’s relaxing to watch since it doesn’t contain a continuous story. In case If you watch one episode and stopped for a while and went back to watching again and forgot everything. You don’t have to rewatch it from the start to remember the past events because they are irrelevant.
Each episode shows a new mini story. There is no introduction to the characters and the series is not long enough to get enough information organically about the character’s interests.
Naguma: is a college student who likes sports activities. She works a part time job in a restaurant.
Wako Izumi: is a college student who has a talent in photography.
Niikura: is a college student and lives with her best friend Naguma.
Tatewaku: 16 year old school boy who is also Matsuri’s big brother
Matsuri: a school student and a best friend of Ecchan.
Ecchan: a school student and a best friend of Ecchan.
In conclusion, do I recommend it? I would say yes. It’s entertaining and funny in a weird way. My favourite episodes were episode 5 and episode 7. My favourite scenes that I liked were the tower in episode 5 and Late night snacker is episode 7.
If you decide to watch it let me know your favourite episode/scenes.

One response to “The Weirdest Anime Series: City The Animation”
I was impressed by your beautiful and well-balanced words, every letter you uttered was perfectly balanced, as if you were summarizing the events in a beautiful and engaging narrative.
Everything was beautiful, and I appreciated your positivity the most. However, I suggest you offer more criticism and reveal the hidden and negative aspects of the scenes to be more realistic and give the narrative more than just a summary; it should be a story that takes you into the realm of imagination.
